This project is innovative by corresponding to four critical challenges in vocational education:
1) CHANGING LEARNING CULTURE
We created a new practical pedagogical model which supports competence based learning in vocational education as understanding of learning is changing from an individualistic knowledge acquisition culture towards a collaborative knowledge creation culture and from studying small details to studying larger multidisciplinary modules (phenomenal learning).
This will be supported by focusing on developing students’ intrinsic motivation (challenge, competence, curiosity, context) in learning (e.g Lonka 2015).
By using competence based entrepreneurial method students
a) will get appropriately challenging tasks (challenge).
b) We will help to put the tasks in suitable units to let students get sufficient feeling of capability (competence).
c) Self-created and well-branded company inspired entrepreneurial tasks will wake up curiosity (curiosity)
d) Students may embed all learning to their company helping to understand professional skills and knowhow in meaningful context.
2) NEW ROLE OF TEACHERS
“New” teacher’s perspective changes from distributor of knowledge to supporting coach who collaboratively works with colleague teachers, companies and students, and who smoothly operates in pedagogical structures which supports larger multidisciplinary modules instead of small details or narrow subject.

3) RECIPROCALLY BENEFITTING CO-OPERATION AMONG SCHOOLS AND COMPANIES
Co-operation with companies have to be reciprocal in order to be able to create sustainable co-operation between schools and companies. In this project well-branded companies coached the branding of Young Talents companies.
Well-branded companies were able to get new fresh ideas to their company as they worked with “Young international talents”. Retailers got new international well-branded products to their store.
4) eLEARNING ENVIRONMENT BECOMES IN PRACTICE A NEW EQUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
We had practically have 3 equal learning environments: school building, Young Talents eLearning platform eKampus and student’s company. During the project showed how well eLearning environment can really work when we pay in eLearning platform attention to:
learning material, communication, guidance, peer support, evaluation, feedback, product making support (video tutorials, video lectures).
By operating with these means in mind, students and teachers were really able to work effectively regardless of time and place, whether they are in Spain, Netherlands or Finland.
